A number of players are split into two even teams and compete in challenges in order to be safe from tirbal council. At tribal council, a tribe member is eliminated. After a certain amount of time a merge happens, and all teams are dissolved, and individual immunity challenges come into play. If you win you are safe from tribal counicl, if you don't, then you can be the next person eliminated. After two or three people are left, the final tribal council starts and the jury deicides who gets to be the Sole Survivor. Hidden immunity idols are also in play, and if found, must be used before the votes are read, these idols die at the final 5.

We then merge and everyone starts playing an individual game and everyone tries to win individual challenges. If your win you're safe from tribal council where everyone has to attend. This goes on until the final 2 where a jury decides who to vote for and ultimately crown a winner. Hidden Immunity idols also play a part in this game. You get various clues on these idols and when you find them you can keep it a secret or tell someone. These idols may only be played after the votes are cast but before they're read.
