  • The Shoppes at Cedar Hill

The mall opened in 1976 as Highlands Mall with three anchors wich was Lazarus on the north end, May Co. the east end, and Montgomery Ward on the south end. In 1980 the mall closed except for Montgomery Ward. In 2000 the wing of Wards opened back up with a couple stores. In January of 2017 the Lazarus wing and the former May Co. was demolished to make room for a mall expansion which included a brand new Macy's, a unknown anchor, and a Sears in the former Lazarus. The mall eventually changed its name from Highlands Mall to The Shoppes at Cedar Hill.
