The past simple is used to describe events that happened in the past at a stated, implied or already known time. Example: @Nuke_craft ate 10 burritos yesterday 2. The present perfect is used for an action that happened in the past, whose result can be seen in the present or an action whose time is not important or unknown. Example: @ariinyuan has shopped a dress in that market 3. The present perfect continuous is used for a situation or action that started in the past and continues up to the present. Example: @Nuveish has been consuming hippopotamuses since 1891. 4. The past perfect is used for an action that was completed at a time before another action that happened in the past Example: Angie couldn’t say anything until @Nuke_craft had finished talking.
