Its October 3rd, 1945, shortly after the Japanese formal surrender in Tokyo Bay. The Allies are finally celebrating the end of World War Two, but in the southern Pacific, several hundred miles off the coast of New Guinea, is a small island about the size of four football fields. The island, known as Kosan Shinai island, contains a hardcore fighting force of a few hundred Japanese soldiers who, despite the surrender of the Empire, refuse to give up the fight. The island has enough resources to invade and wipe out American bases on surrounding islands and there is no fleet close enough to stop them. Fortunately, a small force of two American light cruisers with four hundred battle-worn Marines in their bellies is close enough for a bloody fight to the last man...
