Located in the Pacific Ocean east of the Philippines, Fort Syrio is surrounded by a warm environment. Most nearby islands are large, tropical safe zones for native wildlife, but Syrio was very different. Fort Boron. Boron is the chemical element with the atomic number 5 and the chemical symbol B. Boron is a metalloid. A low abundance element in both the solar system and the earth's crust, boron is concentrated on Earth by the water-solubility of it's more common naturally-occuring compunds, the borate minerals. These are mined industially as evaporate ores, such as borax or kernite.
