  • TRE Fictional

    The Trinity Railway Express (abbreviated as TRE) is a 34 mile long commuter rail service connecting the two cities of Dallas and Fort Worth Texas. Founded in 1996, TRE operates strictly EMD equipment, with 7 ex-GO F59PH's, 2 F59PHI's, and 2 ex-Amtrak/LTEX F40PH's. The railroad also operates a fleet of only Bombardier Bi-Level coaches. Recently, TRE acquired "new" trains from Minnesota's recently defunct Northstar. From this, they acquired 6 new coaches, 2 new cab cars, and 2 new MPI MP36PH locomotives. This purchase was made to accommodate for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. TRE operates in a push-pull configuration, where each train has a locomotive on one end and a cab-control car on the other. TRE as a company is housed under its parent Trinity Metro, which also manages other transportation services in the DFW area, including TexRail, DART, and its own bus services. TRE runs up to 6 trains on busy weekdays and 3 trains on weekends. Now, let's take a look at my clips of the TRE.
