Planet Nine
In the far reaches of our Solar System lies Persephone, a cold, distant, frozen world dominated by mountains of Ice and Snow. Once it's discovery in 2028 became official, astronomers began to observe it more closely and defined it as the ninth planet of the Solar System. NASA then launched the Atlas Program 7 years later which had a primary goal of establishing a permanent presence on the surface of Persephone.
It is now the year 2270, and you are the newest crew of the Atlas Program. Manage the base, keep operations going, make discoveries, explore caves, and expand your research on the miraculous planet
The theory of Planet Nine began in 2016 when astronomers at Caltech published evidence that the unusual, clustered orbits of distant Kuiper Belt objects were likely caused by the gravitational influence of an undiscovered planet. Planet Nine's existence will likely be confirmed or denied by 2027-2028, following the first year of data collection from the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.
