Fort 89 was a military establishment by the Liberty Republic near the Jol'nea System (roughly 450 lightyears away from the homeworld of Eya). It's the primary base of the 118th Fleet, led by Aquil'o II, and the start of the Rapid Colonization Project, also headed by Aquil'o II. The Fort was built as a way to claim the Jol'nea System before the much smaller Merilpol Confederacy did. As a result, the fort is undermanned, only staffed by 8 men at the start of its operation, in 228.398. The Liberty Republic's nearest colonized planet is 20 lightyears away, about 10 month's journey away with the fastest ship in the fleet, where the colonists for Jol'nea VI came from.
