Level 7 is the 8th level of the Backrooms. It was first discovered by user u/Bart0nius. It poses a significant obstacle to exploration of Level 8 and further. Level 7 is unique in that it is a vast expanse of water that appears to stretch on endlessly, with various "islands" of stacked rooms dotting the horizon. Like Level 6, it is pitch black, so bringing a light source is advised. It can be assumed that the ocean once contained life, as seen with the massive amounts of submerged bones, but it is currently void of life. It is theorized that this extinction was caused by a creature known as "The Thing on Level 7." Not much is known about this creature, except that it is extremely long, resides in the water, and is completely black. For this reason it is advised not to linger in the water for too long. This game is mostly a demo and not an actual game.
