  • Château de Monbijou

Château de Monbijou Monbijou was the Roco-style residence of the Queen of Prussia when she was living privately in Berlin. Considered as one of the jewels of the Royal Prussian palaces, Monbijou was the home to some of the greatest moments of the early Prussian court. Expanded over a period of four decades, what began as a small garden pavilion on the edge of the Spree grew to be one of the largest pleasure parks in Berlin. The palace is situated on the Spree River, just a few hundred metres north of the great Berlin City Castle. This is one of our numerous court residences, but it is not our primary residence.

  • Château de Rheinsberg

Rheinsberg was the philosophical and libertine home of then-crowned Prince Friedrich of Prussia. He lived in this small, majestic baroque castle situated some 2 hours north of Berlin. It was here, with his consort Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick, that the young Prince held court amongst philosophers, musicians, and the nobility who awaited the new era, and new reign. C. 1730-1739. [Requires a fairly decent PC and good internet connection to run smoothly or with minimal lag. Potato machines are not recommended for us here!!]
