Marchetti Summer House, Pasadena. (1983)
Nestled among the quiet, palm-lined streets of Pasadena, the Marchetti Summer House stood as a symbol of old-world elegance meeting 1980s Californian luxury. Built with Italianate influence, its stone façade glowed warmly under the golden California sun, framed by arched windows and wrought-iron balconies that overlooked manicured gardens.
In 1984, the mansion was alive with understated opulence. Inside, polished marble floors reflected crystal chandeliers, while dark wood paneling and velvet drapes gave each room a sense of timeless prestige. The air carried the scent of aged books, polished brass, and fresh citrus drifting in from the courtyard. A grand staircase curved upward like a silent promise of secrets kept on the upper floors.
