Hillsborough Castle, located in Royal Hillsborough, 20 Km from Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a Georgian Royal Estate suited for the British Monarch and Royal Family. Built in the 18th Century for the Marquess of Downshire, was sold to the British Government in 1922; which is now used for His Majesty, The King during visits and holidays to Northern Ireland. The Estate is characterized by its lush gardens, which encompass the entire residence grounds. In addition to a royal residence, Hillsborough is also utilised for State Visits and Ceremonial use.
