Miller's Pub & Co.
After selling a small plot of land in Mountain Creek in the 1800s, and moving to DeWitt's Colony in Texas, Thomas Redd Miller founded The Dragon’s Fire using the money he was promised. Soon, Thomas enlisted in the Gonzalez Rangers and moved to the Alamo to assist the Texan Army. He died in battle, and his younger brother, George Dabney Miller, inherited the land through Thomas’s will. He renamed The Dragon’s Fire to Miller’s Pub & Co, a tribute to his older sibling. Not long after that, George ran out of money and the Republic of Texas acquired the property ever since.
