On an empty, desolate platform not far from earth an unstable orb created by scientists, composed of unknown material, holds anomalous properties and is projected to cause mass destruction of not constantly maintained. However, the orb teleports randomly once touched and looses stability. As the whole world straggles on efforts to neutralise the orb they realise their time is short. As the orb continues its descent into madness it is realized more help is required. More and more people land on the ever-growing dangerous platform in attempts to assist maintenance with the highest levels of known technology available. Visibility is poor and work is tiring. A new, elite squad is formed in the nick of time. Everyone else previously present on the platform has been evacuated to give way to you. You land in and it's right dead ahead of you; taunting you. Just 120 seconds until destruction. It may be short, but humanity rely on you. Every second given is valuable.
