The October war was waged between Egypt, Syria and Israel. The Valley of tears was located in the Golan Heights which the Syrians invaded in 1973. The actual battle for the Valley of tears was not waged until the end of the war, when the Syrian 7th Infantry Division attacked the Israeli 7th Armoured Brigade. The Syrians attacked with 1,260 tanks agianst Isreal which had only 100 tanks. In the end Israel had superior training and tactics which won them the battle with 60 tanks detroyed. Syria had suffered over 500 tanks destroyed.
