Long ago, a mighty king dreamt of walking alone through a beautiful cathedral, unlike any he had ever seen before. He awoke with tears streaming down his face, and was determined to make his dream come true. The king drained his coffers seeking the finest craftsmen and workers, and demanded they work day and night. "Work harder," he said. His people pleaded for rest, but he refused to listen. For years they toiled, and many perished. The king did not see the suffering he had caused, and when the last brick was laid, he stood alone. Then he walked down the empty corridors, and realized that his dream had indeed come true. Thereafter he wandered the halls in sorrow, until he too perished. Now the cathedral stands silent, offering sanctuary to nothing but dust.
