Commissioned in 2065, the USS John Carey (DDG-1193), is the first of its class, a nuclear powered, guided missile destroyer. Designed to fulfill a multi-mission land-strike role, the Carey boasts an impressive armament, ranging from deck mounted small arms, to experimental laser anti-air, and tactical nuclear warheads. Equipped with the latest in surveillance technology, the Carey is also capable of anti-submarine warfare, and it's large landing pad means that it can also serve as a mobile platform for VTOL aircraft. As of November 2077, the Carey is attached to the Seventh Naval Fleet, and is stationed at Sasebo Naval Base in American-occupied Japan. It currently patrols the Yellow and East China Seas. WIP
