  • ☛BT Hogsmeade

    Hogsmeade Village, or simply called Hogsmeade, is the only all-wizarding village in Britain. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft who was in Hufflepuff. Since before 1714 (when the 1714 Edict was passed), Hogwarts third years and above have been permitted weekend trips into the village. Mainly, students frequent the High Street in the village which contains the named specialty shops such as Zonko's Shop and Honeydukes. Otherwise, they wander on to observe the infamous Shrieking Shack.

  • ☛BT Quidditch pitch

    "Hundreds of seats were raised in stands around the pitch so the spectators were high enough to see what was going on. At either end of the pitch were golden poles with hoops on the end." Hogwarts has its own Quidditch pitch where Quidditch teams could practise, hold try-outs and play matches against each other. Each year will see a total of six inter-house matches (each house competing for the Quidditch Cup), along with numerous training sessions by each house team.

    Dol Guldur ("Hill of Sorcery" in Sindarin), also called "the dungeons of the Necromancer", was a stronghold of Sauron located in the south of Mirkwood. Dol Guldur was originally known as Amon Lanc ("Bald Hill") in Greenwood the Great. It had been the capital of Oropher's Silvan Elves, who had departed north to the Dark Mountains (later known as the Mountains of Mirkwood).

  • ☛Halls of Thranduil

    The halls were just inside the eastern border of Mirkwood on the north bank of the Forest River, some miles upstream from Esgaroth. The great cave had many passages and wide halls and was more wholesome than the goblin tunnels in the Misty Mountains. While most of the Elves lived in the woods the king's halls served as his palace and treasure vault, and was also a fortress for the Elves in times of danger.
