  • Baked Global Illumination Demo

    A demo of baked Global Illumination in Roblox. This place uses the same technique shown off by Elttob recently. There are points dispersed evenly throughout the map which contain point lights. When calculated, 128 rays were shot in random directions from the 57K+ points in the map. These rays were used to calculate what the approximate bounce lighting would look like. With this many lights, you'd think the game would run poorly, however Roblox's engine seems to handle many light sources relatively well and as a result this place should be able to run at ~60 FPS on most systems. I would recommend using full graphics regardless of frame-rate because without full graphics the GI effect does not look as good.

    Simple solar system model. Scaling: Size: 1 stud = 5000 KM Distance: 1 stud = 50000 KM All orbits are perfectly circular, they are also all on the same plane. The orbital distances, scaling, and orbital period are all accurate though.

  • Dynamic Depth of Field

    A Dynamic Depth of Field script made by me. Some additional scripts were used for purely aesthetic things. The Depth of Field effects is entirely untouched by other scripts.   • Galaxy Generator

    A relatively simple system that generates a galaxy. There are 10,000 stars in the galaxy, all of which have one of five types: Yellow-Dwarf Star, Red-Dwarf Star, White-Dwarf Star, Neutron Star, and Black Hole. The Galaxy has a diameter of approx. 10000 studs. Even if every stud was 10 Light-Years, this galaxy would still be tremendously small compared to the Milky Way.
