Guthix once founded the land of Gielinor, and after he perfected it, he went to sleep. Many gods saw opportunity in Gielinor, so they sent their people to live there. Forinthry was once a strong group of settlements under the rule of Saradomin. When Zamorak overthrew his leader Zaros, he invaded Forinthry, and launched an extremely strong spell on the area, which is now the Wilderness. The sound of that disaster disturbed Guthix from his sleep, creating an all out war between the three remaining gods, Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak. Guthix banished all of the other Gods from entering Gielinor, although their armies still fight to this very day, where you are part of it.
