There are 2 different types of timers here. One is a loop (where you'll touch the zone to start, then grab a checkpoint, then loop back around to stop your timer.) The other zone is point A to point B. Couldn't be easier. There is a much more recent, improved version of this timer, but I can't be bothered to implement it retroactively to this game for reasons of my own.
