Kalayaan, Higalaya Province

The Municipality of Kalayaan is a small urban community in Higalaya Province. The community houses the Kalayaan Training Depot, operated by both the Maharlikan Security Force and Constabulary. Originally an airstrip constructed in response to the conflicts in the South Pacific during World War 2, and then outfitted for training purposes in 1978, the depot trains and creates the future servicemen of the country.
