On August 4th, 1920, in Littlehampton Yard a LB&SCR D1 No. 360 was shunting trains through Littlehampton Yard when suddenly, while backing up the brakes failed to apply and then, DISASTER STRIKES! Fatalities: 0 Aftermath: LB&SCR D1 No. 360 was pulled up and repaired and returned to service until it was cut up by 1951 due to British Railways ordering Diesels
