Founded by Conquistador D i e g o V e l á z q u e z de C u é l l a r on August 25th of c.1514, it has been a centre of interest, especially for the Spanish Empire, as well as the pirates who dare attempt to rob the traders, treasure fleets and shipping companies which operate out of the glorious port.
