--The Beginning-- More moons ago than anyone can remember, the sky exploded into flame and burning stones fell to the ground, searing it and carving the land into a massive crater- valley. As the earth cooled, life began to return to the land. Cats began to settle here, raising families, passing on the story of the destruction that had turned their new home into a wasteland, and the glorious rejuvenation of life that came after. The largest of the stones, still very much intact, stood in the great hollow it carved out when it had arrived on this earth. Dark as the night sky from which it fell, it came to be called the Night Stone. The cats saw it as a gift from their ancestors, and agreed to make Night Hollow a place of peace to meet during each full moon.
