IDU: Allen Expressway, Toronto, Ontario

The Spadina Expressway was a planned freeway that would cut into the City of Toronto. It was cancelled a quarter of the way into construction. The current segment seen today in the real world is highly conjested and badly maintained. A portion of Line 1 runs in the median of the road. A section of Line 1 from Wilson Yard to Glencairn is under construction and eventually it will be open for subway free drives. Part of a series on Toronto Reimagined.
