Sevastopol Offensive, Outskirts

The Sevastopol offensive was one of the larger battles on the Eastern front which saw German Naval forces engaging in landings to capture the critical Soviet port. Seebataillon Naval Infantry Units played a critical role in staging the landings and launching ground offensives on the city. The battle soon became a disoriented blur amonst a destroyed city in the dead of the icy Russian winter.
