Commissioned in 1770 by Charles de Bohun, Eighth Duke of Richmond as a gift to the Crown, the Hampton Court Palace is a ostentatious twist between grandeur and simplicity. Completed in just a year in 1802, the palace has 28 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, a throne room, its own library, and even the bedroom of King George. The palace is separated into three main pieces: A beautiful courtyard surrounded by excellent shrubbery, A stunning grand ballroom known as St. John's Hall, and a majestic throne room for His Majesty himself and his aides, staff, friends, and family.
