Description

Vardos was a planet located in the Jinata System. It was described as an "Imperial utopia". The planet was notable for its diversity and loyalty, with even the planet's many alien inhabitants expressing faith in the Empire. Following the Battle of Endor, Vardos was a target of Operation: Cinder, a secret Contingency planned by The Emperor to ensure that The Empire and his enemies did not outlive him, should he ever perish. This came to The Emperor's belief that should he ever perish then the Empire did not deserve to live beyond him. The Emperor's plan was to have the Galactic Empire destroyed, culling its weak elements and punishing it for failing to protect him, while also ensuring its rebirth in the Unknown Regions of space
