Description

Given the nickname, "The Ship of Triumphs", the SS Triumph's keel was laid down in Newport News shipbuilding Co. in 1918, and was completed in 1921. Construction was slow, but once the mighty Triumph was completed, it was clear at her launch that she would be a "Triumphant" ship.
