Opened in 1978 with Legion, JCPenney, and K mart. K mart closed in 1996 and was split between Hoyts Cinemas and Stein Mart. JCPenney closed in 1997 after the store was deemed underperformimg. Stein mart closed in 2008. During a storm in late 2008, the JCPenney roof collapsed from extensive water damage. The store was demolished after. This leaves the mall with Hoyts Cinemas and Legion as the only anchor tenants left and multiple stores open throughout the concourse. Legion is currently under renovations, but is still open to shoppers. Plans have also been proposed to gut out the interior mall space and convert it into big-box retailers and office space.
