    The Malacanang / Malacañang Palace serves as the official residence and workplace of the President of the Republic of the Philippines. It dates back to the 1800s and it became home to the Spanish Governor-General after the 1863 earthquake. President Manuel L. Quezon was the first Philippine President to reside in the Palace.
