Treppen steigen 13 Stufen lang in einem Winkel von 38 Grad ab, bevor sie eine halbkreisförmige Plattform mit einem Durchmesser von etwa 3 Metern erreichen. Die Abstiegsrichtung dreht sich auf jeder Plattform um 180 Grad. Das Design von SCP-087 begrenzt die Sichtweite von Subjekten auf etwa 1,5 Flüge. Eine Lichtquelle ist für alle Subjekte erforderlich, die SCP-087 erkunden, da keine Beleuchtungsvorrichtungen oder Fenster vorhanden sind. Beleuchtungsquellen, die heller als 75 Watt sind, haben sich als unwirksam erwiesen, da SCP-087 überschüssiges Licht zu absorbieren scheint. Subjekt-Bericht und Audioaufnahmen bestätigen die belasteten Vokalisierungen eines Kindes im Alter von █ bis ██.
