Fort Bliss later was put on the map in the El Paso vicinity. If Fort Bliss wasn't on the map. El Paso won't be on the map but Fort Bliss saved El Paso from NOT being on the map in the 1800s. In the present day, El Paso is on the map of the United States of America. Southwest Texas is bordered by Mexico and New Mexico.
