Immunocytochemistry: performed on samples that consist of cells grown in a monolayer or cells that are in a suspension and deposited on a slide. Immunohistochemistry: performed on samples derived from tissues that are histologically processed into very thin sections. The staining process then exploits enzymes that catalyze the product of the colored staining at the antigenic sites within the sample. Did you need this information? No. Was it extremely interesting? No, and half of you probably didn't even understand most of the words in those definitions.
