[PATROL] FOB Martello, El Bak Valley

200km north of Kandahar lies a forward operating base installed by the Candian Forces. The FOB was placed in a dangerous area where Taliban movement is prevalent. FOB Martello officially opened June 13, 2006 after 7 Platoon, Charlie Company of the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry left Kandahar Airfield to provide security for the ceremony during Operation Tabar.
