Actions Around Mt. Tumbledown, June 11 - 14, 1982

The Battle of Mount Tumbledown represented the climax of a three day battle over the various hills outside the town of Stanley on the FaIkIands Islands. It occurred over the night of June 13, where the British managed to dislodge the heavily entrenched Argentine defenders, after a pitched battle. The battle would be a decisive factor in the eventual surrender of Argentine forces and the end of the war.
