THIS IS SPAM!

I've seen way too many people posting on way too many threads declaring it spam. Since these people clearly have no idea what spam is, I thought I'd clear it up for them.
Many people seem to think spam is easily defined as,
Stupid
Pointless
Annoying
Messages
But that's not exactly true. People claim something is spam because they, personally, believe that it is stupid, pointless, and annoying.
Spam is actually words, posts, threads, etc... repeated an unnecessary amount of times.
By posting in every thread you find stupid, pointless, and annoying, you yourself are spamming.
Identifying spam:
You might see a post with a word or phrase repeated many many times. THAT is spam.
You might see someone post a completely harmless thread in an irrelevant forum. That's when you kindly guide them to what forum they're thread should be in. This is NOT spam.
You might see someone post something controversial in an attempt to upset others or get responses from them. There's a word for that. It's NOT spamming, it's trolling.
There are many more cases you might see, but they will not be spam. Remember, spam is simply messages that are repeated many times.
